We are Berthe and Moritz — wine lovers, technology enthusiasts, and firm believers that great wine should be accessible to everyone.

Our Story

It started with a simple frustration: finding great wine should not require a degree in oenology. We built relationships with producers who share our values — quality, authenticity, and respect for the land.

Along the way, we realised that the real barrier to enjoying wine is not knowledge — it is access to honest, personal guidance. Not everyone has a sommelier friend to call. So we decided to build one.

What We Do

sommelia.ch is a carefully curated selection of wines we genuinely love, chosen from producers we trust. Every bottle in our collection has been tasted, debated, and earned its place. We favour wines with character — from celebrated estates and emerging talents alike.

We ship within Switzerland from our cellar in Zurich. Our goal is simple: get exceptional wine to your door, beautifully packed and ready to enjoy.

The AI Sommelier

Our AI sommelier knows every wine in our collection — the tasting notes, the pairing philosophy, the producers, and the regions. Chat with it like you would with a knowledgeable friend. It remembers your preferences across conversations and personalises its recommendations over time.
