Terms & Conditions

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the business relationship between sommelia.ch (operated by Mond, Zurich) and customers who place orders through our online shop at sommelia.ch.

By placing an order, you accept these terms in full. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time; the version in effect at the time of your order applies.

2. Contract Formation

Product listings on our website do not constitute binding offers. They are an invitation to submit an order. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email or when payment is successfully processed via our payment provider.

We reserve the right to decline orders, particularly if products are out of stock or if there are pricing errors.

3. Prices and Currency

All prices are displayed in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include applicable VAT. Shipping costs are shown separately before checkout.

Shipping within Switzerland is free for orders of 2 or more bottles. Orders of a single bottle incur a flat shipping fee of CHF 9.

4. Delivery

We currently deliver within Switzerland only. Delivery typically takes 2--4 business days.

Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier. We pack all wines in protective, temperature-stable packaging.

5. Payment

Payment is processed securely via Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards, TWINT, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is due at the time of order. No goods are shipped before payment confirmation.

6. Right of Withdrawal

Under Swiss law (OR Art. 40a ff.), you have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving reasons. The goods must be returned in their original, unopened condition.

To exercise this right, contact us at moritz@sommelia.ch. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer unless the goods were defective or incorrectly delivered.

7. Liability

sommelia.ch is liable for damages only in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the order in question.

8. Age Restriction

The sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under 18 years of age is prohibited under Swiss law. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
