About this wine
Approachable Nebbiolo, the way Piemonte makes it for itself. The 1661 cuvée draws on a north-facing parcel — slower ripening, fresher acidity — rounded out with fruit from younger rows for lift and openness. Hand-harvested, table-sorted, cryomacerated for 24 to 48 hours, then fermented and aged in stainless steel before a few months in oak that softens the edges without ever taking over. The Boroli family has been a Piemontese name since 1831 and a winemaking one since 1997, with a reputation built on low yields and a refusal to rush. The result is Nebbiolo in its friendliest register — perfumed, fluid, ready for the table tonight.
Tasting notes
Red cherry, wild strawberry and blackcurrant on the nose, with a delicate floral lift — rose petal, violet — that Nebbiolo lovers will recognise immediately. The palate is elegant and well-built, with silky tannins and a bright, energetic line of acidity that keeps everything moving. Persistent without ever feeling heavy: serious wine, easy company.
Food pairings
Tagliatelle al ragù, Roast veal, Aged Castelmagno or Toma, Mushroom risotto

A Piemontese dinner at home
