About this wine

C.Kloss has made Sekt in Winningen since 1856. Their Sparkling Tea range is a serious attempt to offer something genuinely interesting for non-drinkers: not juice, not soda, but a crafted, layered beverage built on regional ingredients. The Wildkräuter-Linde uses cloudy apple juice from Mosel orchards as the base, enriched with nettle, blackberry leaf, lemon balm, peppermint and linden blossom tea, plus a fermented celeriac element that adds depth and structure. No alcohol, no artificial additives — everything from Central Europe, pasteurized and lightly sulfited only. Falstaff awarded it 94 points.

Tasting notes

Gently cloudy, pale gold with a faint apricot shimmer. The nose opens on apple and mango with fresh lemon balm and a fine herbal thread. On the palate, soft carbonation carries chamomile, apple and herbs, with balanced sweetness and a slightly herbaceous finish with real structure. Surprisingly complex for a zero-alcohol drink.

Editor's note

C.Kloss has been making Sekt in Winningen since 1856. The Sparkling Tea is a different project: a zero-alcohol alternative built on the same precision and regional sourcing they bring to their sparkling wines. The Wildkräuter-Linde — wild herbs and linden blossom — is the complex one: cloudy apple juice layered with regional botanicals. Falstaff gave it 94 points. We agree.
