About this wine
Anselmo Mendes' traditional-method sparkling from 100% Alvarinho — a rare and serious bubble from northern Portugal. Grapes from his Quinta da Torre estate are whole-cluster pressed, cold-settled for 48 hours, and fermented in stainless steel at 16°C. A second fermentation in bottle, the classic Champagne method, gives this its fine, persistent mousse. Bruto Natural — bone dry, no dosage — lets Alvarinho's character speak.
Tasting notes
Bright lemon-yellow with a fine, persistent bead. Delicate, perfumed nose of white flowers, citrus pith, and a hint of brioche. The palate shows the structure and complexity of Alvarinho carried by a creamy, gentle mousse, finishing long and saline.
