Piedmont isn't the obvious address for Chardonnay — Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto dominate the conversation. But Boroli's limestone soils at 400m produce something genuinely interesting: lemon peel, ripe apricot, elderflower, a soft creamy texture from oak, and a freshness that keeps everything alive. Made with the same rigour as the red wines in the 1661 line. Pair it with anything creamy and you won't regret it.
