What to eat with it

Why it's on our shelf
Friuli makes Italy's most serious Pinot Grigio — aromatic, textured, lees-aged, and completely different from the commodity version the variety's name often conjures. Russolo has been at it since 1925. The Ronco Calaj is their main cru: alluvial limestone and dolomite at the foot of the Dolomites, cold stainless fermentation, lees aging until bottling. White peach, pear, acacia, clean citrus finish. The kind of Pinot Grigio that gives the grape its reputation back.
