Finca Rodma is young as an estate — founded in 2019 — but the vines are not. These are 90-year-old Tempranillo plants in Pedrosa de Duero, on the stretch of Ribera del Duero that runs adjacent to Vega Sicilia. Old vines, gravity winemaking, 12 months in French and American oak. The Selección is the entry point, and it sets a high bar: blackberry, black plum, cedar, vanilla, well-structured tannins, and a persistence that rewards a proper meal. Good value for where these vines grow.
