The polite move is a bottle the host can keep and enjoy later — no pressure to serve it tonight. So bring something that keeps well.
A little nicer than a weeknight bottle
Spend a touch more than you would on a Tuesday. It reads as effort without trying too hard — CHF 20 to 35 is the sweet spot.
